You can make your booking online via our website. Payment can be made either by credit or debit card. In special circumstances we will accept payment directly into our bank account.
We do not charge a booking fee or a credit card transaction fee. A refundable security deposit will apply. There will be a charge of £300 against your card but this will only be deducted in event of significant damage to the property.
A refundable security deposit/charge of £300 will be charged in addition to your rental price. We know most guests leave the property as they found it, however in the event of damage or extensive time and materials used by cleaners due to bad housekeeping, this deposit will not be refunded. In the unlikely event of excessive damage/neglect you may be invoiced for additional costs over and above this amount if necessary, but you will be notified if this is the case.
The keys will be available from 4pm and will be located in the lock box outside of the property. The keycode will be provided with your pre-arrival information sent out prior to your arrival.
As keys are left in the lock box for you, guests can arrive any time after 4pm without the worry of picking up the keys at a certain time.
All properties should be vacated by 10am at the latest (unless specifically agreed by us prior to your arrival). Prompt departure is appreciated in order for our cleaners to maintain their high standards and the smooth running of our changeover procedure. Keys should be returned to the lock box upon departure.
Any changes to the original booking should be notified to us as soon as possible.
The Concrete Castle is not available for day hire or to use as a venue for a private party or event. We are afraid that due to Health and Safety and Insurance reasons, only paying guests booked into the property can stay at the property. Additional guests can not be accommodated unless by special agreement with the owners at the time of booking.
Yes, we accept responsible Stag / Hen parties but strictly no more than 18 guests at all times.
We accept 2 dogs at the property; we must be notified of this at the time of booking. Special conditions apply so please read our Booking Terms & Conditions.
Sorry, no smoking/vaping is permitted inside any part of The Concrete Castle or on the Roof Deck. When smoking/vaping outside, please use the smoker's bins provided outside.
Babies and small children are well catered for with stairgates, highchairs, travel cots, bed guards and baby monitors all provided. Please note that due to Health and Safety, we do not provide a mattress or bedlinen for travel cots.
We are not aware of any feathers in any of our bedding or bed cushions however there may be a few sofa cushions that contain feathers.
The Concrete Castle accommodates 18 guests plus 3 travel cots.
The dining table seats all 18 guests.
There are 9 bedrooms over 3 floors at The Concrete Castle. All floors are set out the same. On each floor there is 1 Kingsize Master bedroom and ensuite, 1 twin which can be joined to form a SuperKing and a further twin room (6 guests on each floor). Therefore in total; 3 Kingsize rooms, 3 twin/Superking rooms and 3 additional twins.
There are 3 bedrooms where beds can be joined - the 3 twin/SuperKing rooms - bedrooms 2, 5 & 8. Should you require beds to be zip linked together, please request this at the time of booking or no later than 2 weeks before arrival.
Each bedroom floor has a family bathroom with a shower over bath (tub bath). The 3 ensuites have cubicle showers.
Bedlinen and towels are included for all guests. A Mattress and bedlinen is not provided for Travel Cots.
There is enough parking for approxiamately 10 cars at the property. Please note, there is no suitable parking on the road outside the accommodation.
This all depends on what type of holiday you want! If you simply want to relax in nice surroundings, the facilities at The Concrete Castle should keep you entertained whatever the weather or time of year. There are plenty of local walks to enjoy in the surrounding countryside. There are local grocery shops nearby however, some guests like to order groceries online to be delivered at the property when they have arrived.
The nearest local shop is The Co-Op in the next village of Holbrook, about a mile away. If you turn left as you come out of the property and continue on the road you will come into the village. If you turn right onto the Street, the Co-op is on the left. All the main Supermarkets can be found a few miles away, in/around the nearest town of Ipswich.
All the main Supermarkets deliver to the property. Please note the property name is Freston Water Tower for delivery purposes. The full address is: Freston Water Tower, Holbrook Road, Freston, Ipswich, IP9 2FN
The Freston Boot is half a mile away from the property. Turn right as you come out of the property and head towards Ipswich. The pub is half a mile away, on the left hand side. There are also several pubs in the surrounding villages.
Ipswich: 7 miles to Centre - 15 minutes drive
The nearest train station is in Ipswich (7 miles approx.)
The Concrete Castle offers numerous facilities so you shouldn't get bored if the weather isn't great! Further information about activities to do in the local area can be found under the Attractions section of our website and in the Guest Information folder in the accommodation.
There is no hot tub available at the property however it is possible to hire a hot tub from an outside company. We don't get involved in this arrangement so it would need to be set up during your stay and removed prior to your departure. Should you hire any such facility, please confirm with us prior to booking it.
We provide a BBQ stand outside the property for use with disposable BBQs. (Please note, we do not provide the disposable barbecues).
Details of a recommended Caterer can be found on our home page or you are welcome to find your own. If you do find someone suitable, we would ask that you let us know as and when you book them as we need to check they have the adequate liability insurance in place. We're afraid table top fryers/deep fat fryers are not permitted due to fire risk.
Fireworks are not permitted at the property, it's grounds or on the Roof Deck. 
Due to the nature of the building The Concrete Castle is wheelchair restrictive / not suitable for wheelchair users. The lift operates between the Ground Floor and the Entertainment Floor with only 1 stop in between (3rd floor bedrooms 4 - 6). The main living room is only accessible via 1 standard staircase. There are toilets on the Ground Floor and Entertainment Floor.
The General Emergency Evacuation Plan is displayed on the back of the Main Entrance door. It details the procedure to follow in the event of an emergency, the exit routes and assembly point. Floor plans are also on display showing the exit routes and locations of emergency call points. As this self-catering property will be occupied by one individual group of guests there will be no staff on site to help in the unlikely event of an emergency. Should any guests have minor mobility issues or other such impairments it is important that a member of your party is able to assist them with following the general emergency evacuation plan if required. Further information and copy plans can be made available prior to your stay on request. Should any guest have a specific requirement to enable them to evacuate safely, we must be made aware in order that we can put a Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP) into place.
